Voice and Piano lessons are available for all ages. To get started please schedule a free virtual call with me on Google Meet. This allows time for us to get to know one another, for me to hear what you are looking for in private lessons specifically, and to figure out a consistent schedule that works for both of us. Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every student is unique and learns in their own way. It is my desire to provide students an environment where they can grow not only musically, but where they can build on the physical, mental, emotional, and social skills they already have. In lessons with me, students will have the opportunity to explore and hone their musical abilities in a safe space. My purpose is to help my students reach their goals, in a supportive environment where I accept them for where and who they are.

I accomplish this by implementing personalized lesson plans for each student, so that together, we can foster their strengths and develop their skills. Based off of the student’s individual goals and desires, I incorporate musical exercises, real world examples, and technology in lessons. This process is a collaborative effort and one in which I encourage and ultimately expect my students to actively participate. Through this, my goal is to help the student not only develop and excel in their instrument, but guide them in becoming a well-rounded musician and developing aural, musicality, creative, and character skills. I am your teacher, your partner, and your collaborator.

Dr. Robin Koozer – Former Professor

“Nathan has been my Zoom ukulele instructor where he has helped me learn two, now going on three songs along with a variety of strumming skills. Prior to starting lessons with him, I had absolutely no experience. Nathan has helped build my confidence in being able to learn a new instrument with ease.”

Sarah C. – student

“Two young boys plus piano usually equals a recipe for problems – but not with Nathan teaching! Nathan kept both of my boys excited to improve their keyboard skills with engaging content and a fun approach to each lesson.”
